Will the obstacle be removed from our marriage?

Dearest Beloved One,

You are most blessed to be among those lucky souls that are given a partner in sacred marriage. This holy union that God created for souls who are called to share their lives together, is greatly misunderstood because humanity has not yet moved into an understanding of what is a sacred life, and what is a sacred relationship.

In the common conventional understanding, marriage has evolved as humanity's consciousness has expanded. Previously marriage was seen as a practical arrangement, and now is understood in most cultures to be an expression of love. At this time, there is a transition point happening in the institution of marriage itself, because humanity's consciousness is transforming and awakening.

You are finding yourself in the midst of this transition point in your own marriage. You and your sacred partner are deeply entrenched in an old emotional and energy pattern, one that expresses the pain that you both grew up with, and that are healing both individually and as a couple. This old pattern which expresses itself both emotionally and also energetically, appears to be intractable, and appears to have a life of its own that at times feels out of control.

The spiritual reality of your marriage is this: You and your beloved partner entered into your marriage with mixed motivations. There was love, and tenderness, affection and intimacy, and a spiritual connection on a soul level. There was also within each of you the expectation that the other would help to heal or complete missing parts of yourselves. This is a common unspoken expectation among many married couples, for all souls hunger for wholeness. One of the spiritual lessons of a sacred marriage is the important and essential choice that each partner makes to choose God as your primary source of inner nourishment.

This important and significant step immediately removes each partner of the sacred marriage from the emotional projections of the other partner. If you are holding within yourself the expectation that your partner fulfill all your needs, then you are vulnerable to projecting upon your partner, and therefore cannot be present to feel and see the true reality of your relationship.

All souls are part of the One-ness of God. All souls come from God and are a part of God. In a sacred relationship, the two souls are meant to come together with God at the center, which allows for a compete freedom of the expression of love and intimacy, without the entanglements of personal projection and emotional need.

In your sacred marriage dearest One, the obstacle in your marriage has been created by you both. You each played a part in its creation, and this holy time of transformation on the Earth offers you both a unique opportunity to dissolve this blockage. This cannot happen through conventional means alone, for the healing process must include God.

You both need to be held within a larger spiritual community of support, so that your relationship can be brought out of the chains of the past into the light of a new day. If you do not currently have a spiritual community that you both participate in, now is the time to pray together for this to come to you. The Spiritual Support for Families offered here can be a support to you both, and we recommend that you begin a daily prayer time, in the morning and at night, where you bring yourselves and your relationship before God.

As you bring your relationship before God in this way, the spiritual healing process will begin. For a while you will feel more emotional turmoil, as the old emotional patterns between you begin dissolving. During this time we recommend that you each have a spiritual support friend. Find someone outside of your marriage who is aware of your intentions to heal your marriage, and who can support you in this process. This will work most effectively if you each find someone individually to support you, rather than finding one person to support you both.

The obstacle in your marriage is an expression of an earlier time in your lives. You are not alone in your process, for many married couples are now reaching a new point of choice in their relationship, as God's light awakens each soul more completely to the true possibilities of God's love. It has not been possible previously to heal this obstacle, but this healing is now possible through a concerted effort on both of your parts to bring your relationship before God together.

If one partner or the other is unwilling to do this, then the possibilities for healing your relationship are more limited, because the wholeness of God's love opens up possibilities for love and healing that would not otherwise be possible. This is the time for miracles, which are present and available to you both in your sacred marriage before God. With all love and blessings, Amen.
